Job Description

This opportunity is ideal for certified Speech-Language Pathologists committed to making a meaningful impact in educational settings. The position involves supporting students at multiple elementary and middle school locations within the Volusia County area of Florida. This contract role provides a varied schedule across two schools with the potential to transition into a full five-day position in the following academic year.

Key responsibilities include delivering evaluation and intervention services to students with speech and language needs, collaborating with educators and families to develop individualized plans, and providing supervision for clinical fellows as applicable. Working across Ormond Beach Elementary, Pine Trail Elementary, and Silver Sands Middle School, you will play a vital role in fostering effective communication skills among diverse student populations.

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License required
  • Candidates with a bachelors degree and a temporary teaching certificate may be considered for this academic year (SLPA licenses will not be accepted)
  • Willingness to supervise Clinical Fellows is a plus
  • Experience working in school settings preferred

Location and schedule details:

  • Primary locations: Ormond Beach Elementary (3 days), Pine Trail Elementary (1 day), and Silver Sands Middle School (4 days)
  • Position is 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract through June 5th, 2026, with an immediate start date available
