Job Description

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available supporting K-12 students within Seminole County Public Schools in the Oviedo and Sanford areas near Orlando, FL. This contract position runs from as soon as possible through May 27, 2026. The role offers a range of full-time and part-time itinerant assignments, servicing public and select private school campuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations, diagnosis, and therapy to students K-12.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students communication needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting in accordance with district and state guidelines.
  • Serve itinerantly across multiple schools, including private institutions such as Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic School and The Masters Academy.
  • Ensure compliance with all professional and state licensing standards.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Science Disorders, or related field.
  • Valid Florida State licensure as an SLP.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with the K-12 student population in school settings is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work across multiple schools with a flexible, itinerant schedule.

Location:
Seminole County Public Schools, Oviedo and Sanford, FL area; includes support for private schools in nearby communities.

Additional Information:

  • The district is highly responsive with quick turnaround on interviews and offers.
  • Positions include full-time maternity leave coverage and part-time roles across elementary, middle, and high school settings.
  • This is an on-site position with potential itinerant travel between schools.
  • SLPA candidates are not being accepted at this time.
