Job Description

A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide impactful services within multiple school settings in Deland, FL, with a travel schedule supporting various elementary and middle schools in the area. This role offers an excellent opportunity to enhance communication skills in students across different age groups while working in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to students at Ormond Beach Elementary and Pine Trail Elementary (4 days per week this year; transitioning to a 5-day position next year).
  • Provide support and therapy at Silver Sands Middle School for one day per week.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Supervise Clinical Fellows if applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and interventions.
  • Adhere to state and district policies regarding speech-language services.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
  • Bachelors degree holders may be considered this year if willing to work under a temporary teaching certificate (SLPA license is not acceptable).
  • Experience working within school settings preferred.
  • Ability to travel between multiple school locations within Volusia County.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Location and Schedule:

  • This position involves travel between schools in Ormond Beach and Port Orange, Florida.
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Position start date is immediate, with an assignment end date of June 5th, 2026.
