Job Description

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred; bachelors degree clinicians considered if willing to obtain a temporary teaching certificate in lieu of an SLPA license for this year
  • Active Florida SLP license required
  • Experience working in a school setting desirable
  • Ability to supervise Clinical Fellows (CFs) at the middle school setting
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Role responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language services to elementary students (currently 4 days across two schools) and middle school students (4 days at one school), ensuring comprehensive support for various needs
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and document progress
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to implement interventions that foster student success
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to state and district requirements
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and supervision as needed
  • Adjust to evolving caseloads; the role may expand to a five-day elementary schedule next year
