Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of young learners by providing speech-language therapy services in a dynamic educational setting. This contract opportunity focuses on supporting PreK through 1st grade students, with a speech-only caseload of 12-15 children. The position currently requires onsite coverage one day per week, with the possibility of expanding to two days per week.
Essential Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois PEL with SLP Endorsement
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Proficiency with Easy IEP software is a plus
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and share dedicated workspace
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in PreK 1st grade
- Prepare and document monthly minutes for caseload students
- Collaborate with fellow SLPs in a shared speech room
- Utilize Easy IEP for tracking student progress and compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and administration regarding student needs and progress
- Remain flexiblerole may begin as onsite with potential for virtual components
