In this contract role, youll work with learners across all grade levelsincluding early childhood, elementary, middle, and high schoolhelping them achieve clearer communication and greater academic success.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license issued by the state of Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA-CCC) required
- Experience providing SLP services in educational settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and related documentation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for learners at different developmental stages
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to students identified with communication needs across early childhood through high school settings
- Conduct assessments, participate in eligibility determination, and contribute to IEP teams
- Track student progress and maintain timely, accurate documentation
- Consult regularly with teachers and parents, offering strategies to support student success in the classroom and beyond
- Provide both direct and consultative services, adapting interventions to suit diverse learning styles
- Foster an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere that empowers students to reach their goals
