Qualifications:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license issued by the state of Michigan
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA-CCC) required
• Experience providing SLP services in educational settings preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and related documentation
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for learners at different developmental stages

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to students identified with communication needs across early childhood through high school settings
• Conduct assessments, participate in eligibility determination, and contribute to IEP teams
• Track student progress and maintain timely, accurate documentation
• Consult regularly with teachers and parents, offering strategies to support student success in the classroom and beyond
• Provide both direct and consultative services, adapting interventions to suit diverse learning styles
• Foster an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere that empowers students to reach their goals
