Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • Valid Michigan SLP license required (essential for both onsite and remote roles)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous school-based experience preferred
  • Experience with teletherapy platforms is a plus for remote candidates
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable collaborating with other educators and working with students from diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech, language, and communication assessments and therapy for students on-site or via teletherapy
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting student-specific goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to monitor student progress and adjust programs
  • Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
  • Consult with team members and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Utilize technology and digital resources effectively for delivering remote services, if working in a teletherapy capacity
