This full-time, contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist seeking hands-on experience in an educational environment near Dearborn, MI. Youll work onsite, lending your expertise to help 6th-8th grade students develop vital communication skills for both academic and social success.
What youll bring:
- Active Michigan SLP license is required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year candidates considered
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting
- Strong skills in speech, language, and communication intervention, assessment, and documentation
- Ability to establish positive rapport with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Experience with teletherapy or willingness to learn is a plus
What youll do:
- Provide assessment, intervention, and therapy services for a caseload of 6th-8th grade students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and support staff
- Maintain thorough records and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Support students functional communication needs across classroom and school environments
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
