Job Description

Exciting opportunities are available for onsite Speech Language Pathologists to support K-12 students throughout the upcoming academic year. This contract position offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by providing individualized speech and language therapy services in a collaborative school environment. Assignments span from August through June, with needs in Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit areas. Candidates will deliver direct therapy, engage in proactive intervention, and partner closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (official university transcripts required)
  • Valid or pending Michigan SLP licensure (proof of application and pending status accepted)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred; CFYs welcome (Flint area candidates should ideally have a supervisor in place)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with diverse, urban student populations; prepared to discuss unique challenges and appropriate resources
  • Willingness to work onsite and travel between school locations as needed
  • Comfortable serving K-12 caseloads, with flexibility across age groups

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group speech-language therapy
  • Write and implement student IEPs, set annual goals, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
  • Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting
  • Train school staff on language development best practices
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations for speech and language disorders
  • Support students utilizing AAC systems
  • Organize and maintain therapy materials and equipment
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff across settings
