Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current and valid SLP license for Connecticut
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience working with K-12 populations in school settings is highly desired
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to students diverse needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to determine students speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and carry out individualized therapy plans in collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
  • Provide direct intervention services to support speech and language development
  • Monitor and document students progress, adjust interventions as necessary, and maintain thorough records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for students with communication disorders
  • Offer guidance and resources to support teachers in fostering inclusive classroom communication
