Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and valid SLP license in Texas, or eligibility to obtain one
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Previous experience working with school-aged children strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Flexible, collaborative, and committed to fostering student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy in both individual and small group settings
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student needs
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer resources and strategies for teachers and families to generalize skills beyond therapy sessions
- Stay updated with new trends and best practices in the field
