Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting K-6th grade students with speech and language needsall while enjoying the flexibility to design your own consistent weekly schedule. This contract opportunity for the 2025/2026 school year provides the chance to make a meaningful difference in a school setting near Dallas, TX. Working approximately 12 hours per week, youll focus on individualized and group therapy at a single campus, helping young learners reach their communication goals.

Your expertise in pediatric speech-language pathologyincluding teletherapy experience and strong clinical skillswill be valued as you manage a manageable caseload of 6-8 students (subject to adjustment). Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families, ensuring each students unique needs are met and their progress meticulously tracked.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

  • Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license (required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
  • Experience with pediatric populations in school settings
  • Comfort and proficiency delivering teletherapy services
  • Strong IEP development and participation skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in K-6th grade students
  • Maintain consistent therapy sessionsschedule tailored by you within set parameters
  • Document and track student progress regularly
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Deliver both individual and small group therapy
  • Foster productive communication with teachers and families
