Job Description

A school district in Dallas, TX is seeking three full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide comprehensive support to K-12 students across multiple campuses. These contract positions will cover maternity leave and ongoing caseloads, starting as soon as possible through the current school year.

Locations and Caseloads:

  • Old Settlers Elementary & Southridge Elementary: Serving 48 students (40 at Old Settlers, 8 at Southridge) in grades K-5.
  • Durham Middle School: Managing approximately 65 students.
  • Hebron High School/Hebron 9: Supporting a caseload of about 85 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to students on assigned caseloads.
  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and other specialists.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and parent conferences as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is preferred.
  • Candidates holding Clinical Fellowship (CF) status must have supervision arranged prior to starting, as the district cannot provide supervision.
  • Experience working with school-age children from K-12 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Additional Details:

  • Positions are onsite only; no virtual options available.
  • Full-time schedule, approximately 40 hours per week.
  • Contract duration through the current school year.
