Job Description

A professional Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Crown Point, IN, for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position will begin in August 2026 and conclude in May 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. The role involves providing speech and language services to both elementary and middle school populations, with caseloads ranging from 45 to 55 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders to students in elementary and middle school settings.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services.
  • Manage caseloads effectively while supporting students across multiple school buildings.

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP certification with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
  • Experience working as an SLP in a school setting preferred.
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population in elementary and middle schools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Open to candidates with experience using VOCO or similar communication technology.

Caseload and Locations:

  • The first SLP will cover one elementary and one middle school building.
  • The second SLP will cover two middle school buildings.
  • Candidates will primarily work in one building according to assignment.
