Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with school-aged children and youth. Multiple contract positions are available for the upcoming school year, providing Speech-Language services within a supportive, collaborative Special Education team. Assignments and site locations will be matched with your preferences once finalized in late spring.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Several years of professional experience in school or pediatric settings
  • Current Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communications Disorder Endorsement and/or State of Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Background working with students with moderate to severe disabilities, or emotional/behavioral disorders is a plus
  • Familiarity with both low-tech and high-tech augmentative communication systems is desired
  • Valid Oregon Drivers License
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, staff, and families and maintain confidentiality
  • Current or attainable First Aid/CPR certification may be required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualized speech-language therapy to assigned students
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for a diverse caseload
  • Participate within a collaborative team including School Psychologists, behavior specialists, and special education staff
  • Consult and coordinate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student programming
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Serve on-site in designated school settingsvirtual placements are not available
