Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric environment appreciated, but enthusiastic new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, educators, and families
- Ability to adapt to diverse caseload needs and work independently
- Familiarity with special education processes, IEPs, and documentation best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to students in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for various speech, voice, language, and fluency disorders
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure student progress and successful integration of therapy goals into the classroom
- Maintain thorough, timely records, progress notes, and required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings as a valuable team member and contribute meaningful recommendations
- Flexibly adapt to caseload assignments and school locations as determined by district needs (number of schools and student ages to be provided upon assignment)
