Step into a meaningful long-term substitute opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist, addressing the unique needs of students during two critical assignment windows. This full-time contract role is based in a welcoming school environment near Cottage Grove, MN, and focuses on direct, in-person services for an approximate caseload of 25 students, with a service load around 45. Youll be relied upon for your clinical expertise, adaptability, and dedication to maintaining high standards in student support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- CCC-SLP credential preferred
- Prior experience delivering school-based speech therapy services
- Strong organizational skills for managing therapy schedules and evaluations
- Demonstrated ability to maintain compliance with IEP documentation and service delivery
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with either elementary or secondary school student populations
- Familiarity with Minnesota-specific requirements for school-based speech services
- Proven success transitioning into established caseloads with minimal onboarding
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy to students, following established plans and school protocols
- Conduct evaluations and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Ensure thorough, timely documentation and compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and district personnel for comprehensive student support
- Adapt readily to shifting caseload needs and schedules within the defined substitute windows (late Mayearly June and SeptemberDecember)
