Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role making a difference for students in the San Juan Capistrano area! School-based Speech-Language Pathologists are needed to support local students across preschool, elementary, and middle schools. Youll provide vital services while collaborating with caring educators and families. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leave of absence (LOA) assignmentwith a high likelihood to extend through the end of the school year, based on evolving needs.

Assignment Details:

  • Multiple openings for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) in a school setting
  • Full-time, 5 days per week
  • On-site services required (no remote/teletherapy positions available)
  • Starting dates vary, including September and immediate start options
  • Each SLP supports an average caseload of approximately 55 students
  • Work locations include a preschool, an elementary, and a middle school, all in the San Juan Capistrano area
  • Age groups range from preschool through middle school

What Were Looking For:

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active California SLP License is required
  • Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric caseloads highly valued
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to different age groups and school environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with IEP processes
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment
