A rewarding opportunity awaits for an inspiring Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) seeking contract work in a dynamic elementary school setting near Converse, TX. This on-site position runs from August 12, 2026, through May 26, 2027, located at a welcoming campus serving a diverse population from PreK through 5th grade. The student caseload includes approximately 51 individuals, and the assignment does not involve oversight of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). The school environment values dedicated professionals who prioritize collaboration, behavioral supports, and the development of young learners.
Professionals who are bilingual or monolingual are welcome, and the district is open to seasoned Clinical Fellows Year (CFYs)supervision is provided, fostering skill development for early-career SLPs. Candidates with a strong background in educational settings, and the capacity to manage both caseload and time effectively, will thrive here.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Texas SLP License (issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for supervision for CFYs
- Working knowledge of school-based speech therapy, team collaboration, student behavior supports, and effective time management
- References available for credentialing
- Commitment to on-site service delivery
- Ability to serve K-12 age students, with primary focus on PreK5th grade
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to assigned caseload
- Collaborate with educators and support teams to develop and implement communication interventions
- Develop, monitor, and document individualized student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent consultations as needed
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
