Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an engaging school environment. This in-person contract role focuses on delivering impactful speech and language services to children in grades K-5 for the remainder of the school year. Full-time availability is preferred (37.5 hours per week), but part-time applicants will also be considered.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Michigan
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
  • Previous experience with elementary-aged students, ideally within a school setting
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate with educators and families
  • Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students in grades K-5
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administration, and caregivers to ensure therapeutic strategies align with educational goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for student progress and compliance with regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for goal setting and student support services
  • Support students with a variety of communication challenges, fostering their academic and social growth
