Job Description

A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-12 students in a full-time contract position for the current school year in Clint, TX. This opportunity involves working primarily with high school students who have not received speech services throughout the year, requiring a compassionate and organized professional to address a significant backlog of communication services and IEP compliance. Additional assignments may include supporting K-8 students with a smaller caseload in a nearby location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language services to a high school caseload of approximately 64 students, addressing gaps in therapy and catching up on missed services.
  • Manage and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and necessary documentation.
  • Potentially serve an additional caseload of around 40 students in grades K-8, depending on assignment.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to facilitate student progress.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensure requirements and district standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working in school settings, preferably with K-12 age groups.
  • Ability to manage a large, varying caseload and adapt to evolving needs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Location:

  • On-site in the Lower Valley region south of I10 (high school) and/or northeastern area north of I10 (K-8 assignment), Clint, TX.

This contract position offers a responsive and decisive employer, with a streamlined hiring process and the potential to receive an offer during the interview. The district has already hired one full-time SLP and is seeking three additional professionals to join their team.

If you are ready to make a meaningful impact in students lives while working in a supportive and proactive environment, apply today to contribute your skills and expertise.
