Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in New York
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children, especially those who are non-verbal
  • Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and strategies is highly valued
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Commitment to collaborative, onsite work in a school setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy and intervention to non-verbal students in a school environment
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic activities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student growth and participation
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports in line with school and district requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student needs
  • Remain onsite during school hours to ensure availability for direct student interaction
