Job Description

This fulfilling contract role is available for the upcoming school year and welcomes professionals open to travel. Multiple positions are available, with a total of nine SLPs needed to provide essential speech services to students.

What You Bring:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid Alaska SLP license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
  • Experience in school-based settings or strong desire to support school-aged populations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
  • Positive, collaborative approach to working with teachers, staff, and families

What Youll Do:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students with speech, language, or communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services to students across all grade levels
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success plans
  • Maintain compliant documentation and adhere to district and state guidelines
