Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students across a variety of Chicago-area communities by using your expertise as a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist. This full-time opportunity starts in July 2026 and runs through June 2027, supporting PreK-8 students across several dynamic school environments. The role provides hands-on, in-person support, making an immediate impact on students communication skills and educational experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current SLP-CCC certification
  • State licensure for practice in Illinois
  • Fluent Spanish skills (required for this bilingual position)
  • Experience supporting students in PreK-8 settings
  • Prior work in school-based or pediatric environments highly valued
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to a diverse student population, ranging from PreK through 8th grade
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to determine students needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in cooperation with faculty and families
  • Offer direct intervention using evidence-based practices
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families, offering strategies for language development and progress monitoring
  • Support multiple school sites, including locations in Great Lakes, North Chicago, and Waukegan, through in-person sessions
