Job Description

Step into an engaging contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students from early childhood through 8th grade for the new school year. In this role, youll make a direct difference in students lives, helping them reach vital communication milestones. Enjoy working alongside another dedicated SLP, collaborating to serve a well-defined caseload of 70 students, with one therapist covering up to 45 and the other managing 25 students. This position is exclusively in-person, providing a hands-on and collaborative environment with deep connections to both staff and the student community.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Completed Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience managing IEPs, assessments, and direct therapy within the K-8 setting
  • ISBE number must be included in your application for consideration

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to students ages EC-8
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
  • Conduct assessments, participate in eligibility meetings, and communicate results to parents and staff
  • Maintain compliance with school and state requirements, following union guidelines and documentation standards
  • Collaborate closely with your fellow SLP and educational team to deliver student-centered care
