Job Description

Providing speech-language support to students in a vibrant school district in Alaska offers a rewarding opportunity for experienced professionals. The position involves a standard 37.5-hour workweek on a contract basis for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to students with mild to moderate communication disabilities.
  • Manage caseloads averaging 45 to 60 students, depending on the school level and program requirements.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide consultative services, especially at the high school level, to support student communication goals.
  • Participate actively in a supportive and professional team environment focused on student success.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Alaska Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
  • Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED) teaching certification.
  • Experience working with school-aged children across various age groups.
  • Ability to manage caseloads effectively and adapt to changing student populations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team.
