Job Description

A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available in Chowchilla, CA, within a school setting. This contract role requires onsite presence and offers an opportunity to work with a diverse student population, managing a substantial caseload while contributing to student success through speech and language support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, managing a caseload of approximately 60-65 students, including 25-30 focused on speech-only challenges.
  • Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Supervise and work alongside SLP assistants (SLPAs) and facilitators as applicable.
  • Utilize expertise in SEIS (Special Education Information System) for documentation and reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to school-based speech services.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
  • A minimum of 2 years of California school experience preferred; candidates with 1+ year of SEIS experience highly valued.
  • Ability to manage high caseloads effectively, ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Experience supervising SLPAs and facilitators is beneficial.
  • New graduates holding a Clinical Fellowship status (CF) are welcome to apply.
  • Bilingual skills are advantageous.

Location: Onsite position in Chowchilla, California.
