Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the current school year at a K-12 school located in Chowchilla, CA. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to provide essential speech and language services within a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students K-12.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Manage a high caseload efficiently and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and facilitators, when applicable.
  • Utilize and maintain experience with the Special Education Information System (SEIS).

Qualifications:

  • Current California Speech-Language Pathology license.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in California schools.
  • At least 1 year of experience with SEIS.
  • Experience supervising SLPAs or facilitators preferred.
  • Ability to manage large caseloads and student referrals effectively.
  • Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required.
  • Candidates currently completing their Clinical Fellowship (CF) will be considered.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Additional Details:

  • Location: Chowchilla, California.
  • Onsite position with a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week).
  • Caseload includes 60-65 students, with approximately 25-30 receiving speech-only services.
  • Positions available for both fully licensed SLPs and Clinical Fellows.
  • Support from SLPAs likely available.
