Step into a vital role supporting high school students within a specialized setting designed for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or other learning differences. This contract opportunity is located in Ludlow, MA, with a focus on providing services in a nurturing, skills-based environment aimed at fostering independence. The Compass High Program offers highly individualized education outside of traditional classrooms, making a meaningful impact on its diverse student community.
This assignment runs from July 6, 2026, through August 7, 2026, with 15-20 hours each week, spread over 2-3 days. If the match is strong and all goals are met, there is potential for extension into the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as required for SLPs in Massachusetts
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Proven experience within school-based settings, especially serving high school students
- Familiarity with AAC services (evaluations not required)
- Understanding of and experience with ASD and learning differences in adolescents
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Implementing tailored speech and language therapy services as part of the ESY program
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues to support each students individualized goals
- Providing AAC support as needed in a classroom setting
- Documenting and communicating student progress effectively with staff and families
