Job Description

Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for two upcoming leave periods (AugustNovember and OctoberJanuary). This position serves pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade students and offers the chance to make a real difference in a collaborative, student-focused environment.

You'll work a consistent daytime scheduleMonday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:15 pm, totaling 33.75 hours each weekdelivering services via a manageable caseload model. Your expertise will help shape communication, language, and social development through direct therapy, assessments, evaluations, and IEP development.

To qualify for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Valid Illinois SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Experience with pediatric populations, specifically in school or teletherapy settings
  • Background in healthcare-based and/or school-based SLP practice
  • Ability to effectively conduct comprehensive evaluations and write detailed IEPs
  • Strong team collaboration skills and a passion for fostering student success

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload of PreK8th grade students
  • Conducting formal assessments and evaluations to support individualized goals
  • Developing, updating, and maintaining IEPs in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Collaborating with teachers, families, and other specialists
  • Participating in virtual or onsite meetings and progress reviews as needed
