Job Description

Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity near vibrant Chicago, IL, providing Speech-Language Pathology services in an educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position invites a passionate SLP to support students from PreK through 8th grade, working just 1-2 days per week with a manageable caseload of 15-21 students. Your expertise will positively impact a diverse group of young learners, helping them develop essential communication skills for lifelong success.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license required
  • Professional Educators License mandatory
  • Experience with pediatric populations, particularly in school-based or pediatric SLP settings
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide speech-language therapy for PreK-8th grade students
  • Maintain clear documentation of students progress, session notes, and compliance with district/state guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute SLP expertise to the educational team
  • Educate and empower families and staff on strategies to foster communication development

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.25 to $64.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
