Step into a rewarding opportunity as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist, serving students from kindergarten through 9th grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Situated near the vibrant city of Chicago, this contract position offers you the chance to work closely with a mild-to-moderate caseload, featuring 14 students with active IEPs and 9 consult cases, most of whom are in 6th grade or lower.
Your expertise will help shape young learners communication abilities in a collaborative, supportive environment, sharing office space with a dedicated case manager for enhanced teamwork. This is a Monday through Friday role, from 8:30am to 3pm, perfect for professionals who value a consistent and family-friendly schedule.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Hold a current Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator License (PEL) is required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Comfortable working with K-9th grade students
- Experience with school-based SLP services, pediatric populations, and IEP development
- Familiarity with Embrace IEP software preferred
- Open to both Clinical Fellows and CCC-SLPs
Role Responsibilities:
- Direct and consultative SLP services to students on IEPs and those in consult
- Conduct thorough evaluations, develop therapy plans, and deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school teams for optimal student outcomes
- Maintain comprehensive documentation using Embrace software
