Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available with a focus on supporting K-12 students aged 5 to 22 years, primarily those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities. This is a contract role running through May 22, 2026, offering a dynamic itinerant caseload across multiple schools near North Naperville, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy tailored to students individualized needs
  • Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations and assessments
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and team meetings
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and support staff
  • Manage caseloads that include therapy, assessments, and administrative tasks

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License (SLP or SLP CF)
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Successful completion of fingerprinting and background check requirements prior to start
  • Experience or interest in working with students on the autism spectrum and those with intellectual disabilities is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with educational teams

Position Details:

  • Location: Near North Naperville, IL (serving multiple school sites)
  • Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract Duration: Immediate start through May 22, 2026
  • Position is itinerant with paid travel between schools
