This full-time role offers engaging work with a caseload of approximately 45 students. Youll provide a blend of individual and group therapy, conduct thorough assessments, and participate in IEP meetings to help shape personalized learning plans. Your skills will guide and empower students in their communication development while giving you the variety and challenge that keeps your workday meaningful.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid IL SSW License required
- Experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy techniques, including IEP processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Adaptability for working with diverse student populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 and group speech-language therapy sessions to students
- Assess, diagnose, and document speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educators and families
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Attend and actively participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families to support student growth
