Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services for students in a K12 school setting. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and related disorders while collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.

We will consider new graduates and Clinical Fellows (CFs). However, we prefer not to utilize Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) due to workload responsibility limitations and supervision requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K12 students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and special education staff
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Support students with articulation, fluency, voice, expressive/receptive language, and social communication needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Utilize evidence-based therapy strategies and assistive technology when appropriate
  • Maintain professional discipline in documentation and therapy services
  • Promote positive student discipline and engagement during therapy sessions
  • Encourage communication growth, confidence, and self-discipline among students

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure
  • CCC-SLP preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Preferred Candidate

  • Experience working with students across K12 grade levels
  • Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work independently
