This role involves delivering speech-language pathology services across elementary to middle school levels, serving a caseload of approximately 45 to 50 students. Both onsite and virtual work arrangements are available, with flexible weekly hours ranging from 20 to 40.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Virginia Speech Language Pathologist License required
- Previous experience working in pediatric or school-based settings is highly valued
- Understanding of best practices for school-aged children, including assessment, development, and implementation of IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement effective individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services in alignment with students IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights
