Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students communication and learning as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. Youll have the chance to make a meaningful impact working with a diverse group of students, with opportunities spanning from preschool to secondary grades. Choose from multiple placements including elementary campuses (K-6), a developmental preschool (ages 3-5), or secondary sites (grades 7-12), all offering a consistent 37.5-hour work week and a manageable caseload of approximately 60 students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid WA SLP license
- Holds an Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate
- ASHA CCC preferred for SLP roles
- Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is beneficial
- Collaborative attitude and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer support to classroom staff through resources, training, and recommendations
