Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services in a dynamic educational environment near Chehalis, WA for the upcoming school year. Play a vital role in supporting students communication and academic growth while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Several full-time openings are available, each offering 37.5 hours per week. Caseloads include approximately 60 students and cover a variety of settings:
- Elementary positions serving grades K-6
- Developmental preschool (ages 3-5, not in kindergarten), with potential to include elementary students
- Secondary level role spanning two buildings and serving grades 7-12
Youll have the flexibility to select a setting that aligns with your interests and expertise. Each role emphasizes impactful intervention, collaboration with school staff, and ongoing parental communication.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Washington State SLP license
- Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or school-based SLPA experience
- Previous school-based experience highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy to support speech, language, communication, and social skills
- Conduct evaluations, screenings, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with school and regulatory requirements
