A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026/2027 academic year in Chehalis, WA. This contract role offers a 37.5-hour workweek serving both elementary and secondary caseloads. The position is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference in students' communication development within a dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed records and documentation as per school and state regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and interventions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Washington state Speech Language Pathologist license
- Eligibility for Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification in Washington
- Experience in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Skills in managing diverse caseloads across elementary and secondary levels
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology is an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively in a school environment
