Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract position as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist in the Chattanooga area, supporting students communication skills during the 2026-2027 school year. Required Qualifications:

  • Current, active Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Valid Department of Education certification for SLPs
  • Availability to complete required fingerprinting and all district credentialing processes
  • Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred, though motivated new graduates are encouraged
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a passion for making a difference in students lives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of students
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with each students communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
  • Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and compliance with all district and state policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Adjust service delivery models according to student and school needs

This full-time, 35-hour per week contract position commences August 5, 2026, and extends through May 19, 2027. School assignments are determined prior to the start date, with the potential to support a range of elementary-aged learners.
