Step into a rewarding role making a difference in the lives of children as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist within a supportive school setting near Charlotte, NC. This position begins as soon as possible and will run through May 21st, 2025, offering the chance to work collaboratively across multiple elementary schools and specialized itinerant assignmentsincluding Pre-K and Deaf/Hard of Hearing student support.
The workweek is structured at 37.5 hours, with responsibilities including direct therapy, IEP planning and implementation, and participation in team meetings. There is also the possibility of supervising an SLPA and paid travel between schools. Administrative time for indirect services, such as paid team meetings, is included to ensure you have the resources needed to provide excellent support to students.
Key Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active CCC-SLP or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- Pediatric experience (school-based preferred)
- Familiarity with teletherapy services valued
- Experience with healthcare or clinical settings is a plus
- Comfortable managing a diverse caseload and adaptable to itinerant roles
- Willing to supervise an SLPA if needed
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students as assigned
- Complete necessary evaluations, progress notes, and IEP documentation
- Collaborate with general and special education staff
- Attend and contribute to team meetings (indirect/admin time included)
- Travel between assigned schools as required (paid travel)
- Ensure compliance with district and legal standards
