This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services across multiple elementary schools and itinerant settings within a district in the Charlotte, NC area. This contract position is ideal for experienced clinicians, including those with CCC certification, pediatric expertise, teletherapy experience, or those currently in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to students in extension classrooms and designated elementary schools.
- Manage caseloads effectively, adhering to district workload models and caseload caps.
- Conduct evaluations, develop and implement IEPs, and document student progress utilizing the districts IEP system, with training provided.
- Provide supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as needed.
- Participate in paid team meetings and complete indirect administrative duties.
- Serve itinerant roles supporting Pre-K, Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, and multiple school sites, including travel as required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP licensure and certification (CCC preferred).
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology services.
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms and pediatric caseloads.
- Ability to supervise SLPAs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Availability to start as soon as possible and commit through May 21, 2025.
Location: Multiple schools and itinerant locations across the Gastonia, NC area, including Brookside Elementary, Gardner Park Elementary, Sherwood Elementary, Pleasant Ridge Elementary, and others.
