Step into an impactful school-based Speech-Language Pathology contract position, where your expertise will support a diverse group of students across multiple elementary settings and itinerant classrooms. This vital role allows you to make a direct difference in the lives of children within a supportive and growing district near Charlotte, NC.

This opportunity involves a full-time commitment (37.5 hours weekly) through the end of the 2024-25 school year, serving students at dedicated elementary schools as well as itinerant and pre-K programsincluding support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Your responsibilities will include the full spectrum of SLP duties, from assessment to intervention and documentation, with paid indirect/admin time and team meetings integrated into your schedule.

Key requirements and preferred experience:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Valid North Carolina SLP license (or eligibility), with CCC-SLP status preferred
• Pediatric experience in school or healthcare settings
• Experience supporting IEP development, implementation, and documentation
• Comfort or experience with teletherapy (optional but valued)
• Willingness to supervise an SLPA as assigned
• CFY applicants welcome; supervision availability is subject to confirmation
• Ability to travel between assigned campuses/classrooms (paid travel included)
• Transcripts are required prior to interviews

• Conducting speech-language assessments, direct and indirect therapy, and progress monitoring
• Managing a dynamic, diverse student caseload across multiple sites
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Supporting compliance with district and state documentation requirements (IEP system training provided)
• Participating in paid meetings and administration time
