Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting K-12 students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This onsite role is located near Chapin and Irmo, SC, and is tailored for individuals eager to make a measurable difference in a dynamic school population. Working a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, youll have the chance to collaborate closely with colleagues and influence students communication development throughout the academic year. Travel time is compensated, and mileage reimbursement details will be confirmed during the hiring process.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- SC Educator Certification required
- Experience with pediatric populations in educational or healthcare settings highly desired
- CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged
- Familiarity with conducting evaluations for students from kindergarten through high school
- Confidence in teletherapy platforms is a plus but onsite work is required
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized goals addressing unique student needs
- Lead and actively participate in IEP meetings as a valued team member
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based direct therapy services
- Maintain detailed documentation and timely progress reports, ensuring compliance with school and legal standards
