Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (CFY). Qualifications and Skills:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Temporary Alaska state SLP license or ability to obtain before starting
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Passion for working with school-aged children and diverse student populations
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for individual student needs
- Comfort working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students as directed by Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in accordance with district and state procedures
- Collaborate with supervising SLP, educators, parents, and specialists to support student success
- Maintain accurate records of progress, session notes, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff consultations as required
- Communicate regularly with supervisors for mentorship during CFY
