Qualifications and Skills:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Temporary Alaska state SLP license or ability to obtain before starting
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Passion for working with school-aged children and diverse student populations
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques for individual student needs
• Comfort working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy to students as directed by Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in accordance with district and state procedures
• Collaborate with supervising SLP, educators, parents, and specialists to support student success
• Maintain accurate records of progress, session notes, and required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff consultations as required
• Communicate regularly with supervisors for mentorship during CFY
