Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Eligibility for or possession of a Texas SLP-CFY License
- Understanding of current best practices in speech and language intervention for school-aged children
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills
- Positive, flexible attitude and a team-oriented mindset
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience is a plus, but not mandatory
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment and therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with experienced SLP supervisors and educational staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and other school-related functions
- Engage in ongoing professional development and take advantage of mentorship opportunities to expand clinical skills
- Advocate for the communication needs of students and collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams
