Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and a strong commitment to completing clinical fellowship requirements
  • Ability to obtain or hold state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (as required for school-based practice)
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Passion for collaborating with educators, parents, and other specialists to promote student success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students with speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student goals
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in various educational settings
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for assessments, progress notes, and IEPs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights for student success plans
  • Communicate progress and challenges to caregivers and educational staff
  • Stay current with the latest evidence-based practices and professional standards in school-based SLP services
