A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in South San Francisco, CA. This role is ideal for a motivated early-career professional eager to gain comprehensive clinical experience within a school setting. The position focuses on delivering effective speech and language therapy services to a diverse student population.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
- Implementing evidence-based therapy techniques tailored to each student's specific needs
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Participating in meetings and professional development activities as required
Desired qualifications:
- Completion of a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Eligibility for or possession of a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship Year credential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and school staff
- Knowledge of language development, speech disorders, and therapy techniques appropriate for the school-age population
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs
