Step into a key role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant through a fulfilling contract opportunity beginning in the upcoming school year, with the potential to extend into the extended school year. This position provides the chance to work across several schools in an itinerant capacity, offering valuable exposure to diverse caseloads in both in-person and teletherapy formats. Your passion for pediatric and school-based speech services will make a tangible difference in students communication skills and overall success.
Bring your clinical expertisewhether you are pursuing your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), hold your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or are licensed as an SLP or SLPA in California. Experience in healthcare, teletherapy, pediatric care, or previous school-based settings is highly valued.
Qualifications:
- Valid CA SLP license or SLPA license required
- Previous school, pediatric, healthcare, or teletherapy experience
- Graduate of an accredited SLP/SLPA program
- Eligibility to work in California schools (fingerprinting required)
- Strong organizational skills for managing itinerant assignments
- Team-oriented with collaboration skills for IEP meetings and interdisciplinary teamwork
Responsibilities:
- Conducting speech/language evaluations and therapy
- Managing assigned caseloads and maintaining effective communication with teams
- Developing individualized education plans (IEPs), tracking progress, and attending meetings
- Coordinating with district staff and participating in professional development
- Utilizing provided training and mentorship, including supervision for CFY or SLPA roles
- Adhering to administrative and indirect service hours requirements
