Youll provide vital speech services to students with moderate to severe autism, collaborating closely with district staff to deliver individualized care throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Michigan SLP credential (eligibility for CFY or CCC accepted)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based settings
- Previous work with students on the autism spectrum is highly valued
- Commitment to serving a K-12 and up to age 26 caseload
- Clear background check/fingerprinting required prior to start
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services to students with moderate to severe autism across multiple grade levels
- Assess, diagnose, and implement therapy plans tailored to each students unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and monitor IEP goals
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of sessions and progress
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and trainings as needed
- Foster a supportive and inclusive therapeutic environment
