Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Eligible for or currently completing the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Kansas
- Knowledge of IEP processes and the ability to implement evidence-based therapy strategies
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Passion for working with children and collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, supportive educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Support students progress toward communication goals through direct therapy and classroom consultation
- Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary school teams
- Engage in professional development and mentorship opportunities as you complete your CFY requirements
