Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (completed or in progress)
- Eligibility for or current Michigan SLP licensure
- CFY candidates enthusiastically encouraged to apply
- Passion for helping children with communication disorders in diverse school settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to maintain detailed records and manage a varied caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer consultative support, strategies, and resources for student success within the classroom
- Track student progress and document ongoing intervention and outcomes
- Attend team and parent meetings, contributing professional insight and advocacy for students
- Pursue ongoing professional development through supervision, mentorship, and training sessions
