Qualifications:

  • Eligibility for or possession of Iowa state licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in progress or CFY supervision eligibility
  • Familiarity with IEP procedures and documentation
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders within a school setting
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective therapy plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings, maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress
  • Provide direct therapy in individual or group sessions, adapting strategies to fit unique student needs
  • Offer guidance, resources, and support to classroom staff to ensure continuity of care
  • Engage in continuous professional development and supervision (for CF candidates)
